The Red Cap

What is a Red Cap?

Fiendish, sneaky and malevolent are words to describe this terrifying fairy sprite, or goblin. The Red Cap, also often called Bloody Cap, are infamous for soaking their cap in the blood of their victims. They live in places where there was once much death and destruction. Abandoned castles and old fortified towers are among their favourite locations. They are fiercely territorial and will thrill at an opportunity to kill anyone unlucky enough to stumble across them. 

What do they look like?

Dangerous things certainly can come in small packages. The Red Cap may look like a strange, tiny old man, but they are well versed in violence. They dress in their bloody cap, heavy iron boots and carry with them an old pikestaff. They reportedly have razor sharp protruding teeth, and blazing red fiery eyes. Hair that hangs long, limp and stringy which might be combed through with their wickedly elongated fingers tipped with talon-like nails. Hopefully a fairy we won’t ever have the chance to see.
