Paris Sketchbook Goal Quick Update

Well I’ve done it. One whole day ahead of time :)
I missed a couple days this week due to unforeseen life stuff and freaked out a little. I felt so close to achieving this goal and I didn’t want to miss it. So I spent the better part of yesterday and this morning filling the final pages of my sketchbook. This is actually the very first sketch book I’ve completely filled. Most of the time I have at least few pages left at the end. It was way more difficult than I thought it would be, honestly. Sitting down to sketch a face everyday got a little repetitive but I do believe I’ve improved a lot, especially compared to a year ago.
We’ll be in Paris at the beginning of October so I’ve very excited to visit an art store and purchase my Parisian sketchbook. It was great motivation to get this moleskin filled out. I’ve been thinking about what else I can work on to keep brushing up on my skills. I’d like to focus on more nature inspired things I think, maybe capturing some of the Fae in their natural habitat and the like. I’ve always wanted to try this, but feel shy and quit before I start. Probably means that would be a great project for me. In any case, I’ll be taking a bit of a break with the upcoming autumn break so I have lots of time to think about it. If anyone has an idea they’d like to share I’d be very interested to hear <3
